1. Overview

OrgAlyne offers optional AI-assisted features designed to save volunteer leaders time on routine drafting and summarization tasks. This page explains, in plain language, where AI is used, what it can and can't do, and how your organization's data is and is not used.

2. Where AI is used in OrgAlyne

When enabled by an Organization Administrator, AI may assist with:

  • Converting stated goals into proposed milestones
  • Summarizing committee reports
  • Drafting meeting agendas from a template and prior meeting history
  • Converting meeting notes into proposed decisions and action items
  • Drafting executive-status narratives for board reporting
  • Flagging overdue items and emerging risks for review
  • Drafting reminder messages
  • Producing first-draft leadership-transition summaries
  • Preparing first-draft after-action reviews for events

3. Human review is always required

AI-generated content in OrgAlyne is:

  • Always labeled as AI-generated, so it's never confused with content a person wrote.
  • Never automatically saved to an official record (a decision, an approved report, a published agenda) without a human reviewing and explicitly approving it first.
  • Fully editable: you can change any AI-suggested wording before accepting it.
  • Never a substitute for an approved decision. An AI-drafted recommendation is not, and cannot become, an official organizational decision on its own; only your organization's designated decision-making process can do that.

When AI-generated content is saved to an official record, that event is captured in the organization's audit log, consistent with our audit logging practices.

4. How your data is and isn't used

Content you submit to AI features (for example, meeting notes you ask the system to summarize) is processed to generate the requested output and is not used to train publicly available AI models without your organization's explicit, separate authorization. Each organization's data remains isolated from other organizations' data during AI processing, consistent with our multi-tenant architecture described in our Security Overview.

[Placeholder: name the underlying AI model provider(s) once finalized, e.g. a specific foundation model vendor, and confirm their data-handling terms align with this commitment before publishing; this is a claim that needs to be contractually backed, not just stated.]

5. Turning AI features off

Organization Administrators can disable AI-assisted features entirely for their organization from Settings. This is a per-organization setting: turning it off means no member of that organization will see AI-suggested content anywhere in the product.

6. Limitations

AI-generated content may be incomplete, generic, or factually incorrect, and should be reviewed with the same care you would apply to a first draft from a new volunteer. AI features are an aid to drafting, not a source of authoritative organizational knowledge, and should not be relied upon for legal, financial, tax, or safety-critical decisions.

7. Contact us

Questions about AI features can be directed to: privacy@orgalyne.com [Placeholder: confirm final contact address before publishing.]
